The English club are willing to pay 60 million euros plus 20 million in bonuses

Barcelona are desperate to reduce their wage bill, as they can't sign new players until they do so.
De Jong's sale would free up some much needed space for Barcelona, and Manchester United are certainly willing to help them out.
United new manager Erik ten Hag helped the midfielder become a key figure during their time at Ajax, and he's reportedly already spoken with him about a move to Manchester, where he would make him a key player in his side.
Between Ten Hag's desire to sign him and a competition for places at Barcelona, these signs seem to indicate a future far from Spain. United's reported offer is 60 million euros plus 20 million in bonuses, which is said to have been warmly received by Barcelona.
Barcelona know they can get a good deal for a player that originally cost them 75 million. United's offer would allow them to rid themselves De Jong's remaining 40 million in wages, while allowing them to make a profit of about 50 million.
